Shipping Lead (2nd Shift)
About The Position
The Shipping Lead is responsible for ensuring all company outbound shipments are accurate and timely. This includes customer order shipments, sample shipments, and other freight and parcel package shipments. The role involves daily shipping functions, transactions, and documentation using SAGE X3 ERP and Customer Portals, as well as leading the Shipping team through their daily duties. The position requires working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sales to ensure prompt and accurate shipment of customer orders. The lead is expected to be a problem-solver, maintain productivity and teamwork, and assist in tracking and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the role involves assisting with cross-training team members, special projects, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements

- 1+ years in shipping, logistics, or warehouse role.
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, and stoop repeatedly.
- Physically able to lift 75 pounds and manipulate up to a 500-pound drum on a regular basis.
- Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, airborne particles, electrical, chemicals, and moving parts.
- Prolonged use of computer screen and/or scan gun.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all company outbound shipments are shipped accurately and timely.
- Perform daily shipping functions, transactions, and documentation accurately and timely in SAGE X3 ERP and Customer Portals.
- Lead the Shipping team through daily duties, maintaining productivity and teamwork.
- Prepare all freight documents.
- Label pallets.
- Perform pallet pulls and put-away.
- Handle phone/email correspondence with Customers, internal personnel, and Carriers.
- Accurately enter shipment information into SAGE X3 and customer portals in a timely manner.
- Ensure all related shipping and inventory transactions are completed daily.
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sales to ensure smooth and accurate shipment of customer orders promptly upon Quality disposition.
- Be a problem-solver for the Shipping team.
- Work seamlessly and collaboratively with inter-department personnel.
- Follow and abide by the Company Employee Manual.
- Assist supervisor/manager in holding department staff accountable for daily attendance.
- Assist in tracking, generating reports, and presenting adherence to KPIs.
- Adhere to and ensure KPIs established for the department are met daily.
- Assist supervisor/manager in cross-training shipping team members.
- Assist supervisor/manager with special projects.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following published SOPs and Work Instructions.
