About The Position

The Shipping Lead is responsible for supporting daily shipping operations by leading associates, coordinating workflow, and ensuring customer orders are shipped safely, accurately, and on time. This role helps drive productivity, quality, and safety while serving as a floor leader for the shipping team. This is an on-site hourly position and will require a daily presence at our RectorSeal Earth City, MO facility, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Requirements

3+ years of recent warehouse or distribution center experience.
3+ years of recent experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, walkie riders, and order selectors.
Understanding of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documentation, and freight paperwork.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior leadership or lead experience.
Basic computer and WMS experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and support daily shipping operations, including picking, staging, packing, loading, and shipment verification.
Assign work and help prioritize daily tasks to meet shipping schedules and customer expectations.
Monitor workflow to ensure productivity, accuracy, and quality standards are achieved.
Train and coach associates on standard work, safety procedures, equipment operation, and shipping processes.
Assist with resolving shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and operational issues.
Ensure shipments are properly labeled, scanned, documented, and loaded correctly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate operational updates, staffing concerns, and issues to leadership.
Support KPI tracking, including lines shipped, productivity, dock flow, and shipment accuracy.
Help enforce company policies, attendance expectations, and safety standards.
