Shipping Dock Operator
About The Position
This role is responsible for staging, loading, and unloading raw materials in designated areas and flow racks. The operator will ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks, accurate verification of off-loaded materials, and prompt submission of paperwork. They will also be responsible for staging conforming raw materials inspected by QC, completing daily inspection sheets, and operating within established safety and operational procedures. Communication with other shifts, maintaining good housekeeping, and proper equipment lockout are also key aspects of the role. Additionally, the operator will provide on-the-job training to new employees, cross-train in other receiving area positions, and assist as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Good Organizational Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Exhibit a professional demeanor
- Must be able to follow directions given by superior.

Responsibilities
- Load and unload raw materials from truck in a timely manner.
- Verify what you have off- loaded and submit proper paperwork to receiving clerks promptly.
- Stage and put up conforming raw materials that QC has inspected in designated areas and flow racks.
- Complete daily inspection sheets.
- Operate within standard operating procedures and our safety procedure and policies.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Maintain good housekeeping (5S).
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
- Cross train to learn other positions in the receiving area and assist in those positions as needed.
