About The Position
As a highly valued member of the Forney TX Team, this position is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely.
Requirements
- Shipping background is required
- Must be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of Manhattan (WMS), and knowledge should be extensive enough to train others
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish
- Knowledge of ISO QMS
- Knowledge of Manhattan WMS
Responsibilities
- Provide daily/weekly balancing of skilled labor across the shipping department
- Oversee material handlers in achieving department and site performance objectives that include safety, cost, service, quality, and efficiency
- Convey relevant information to Supervisors, Manager and other employees
- Assist management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping department
- Create written and oral instructions that are needed in the shipping area
- Ensure understanding of company KPIs and take actions to meet them
- Other duties/projects as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
