About The Position

As a highly valued member of the Forney TX Team, this position is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely.

Requirements

Shipping background is required
Must be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of Manhattan (WMS), and knowledge should be extensive enough to train others
Good computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish
Knowledge of ISO QMS
Knowledge of Manhattan WMS

Responsibilities

Provide daily/weekly balancing of skilled labor across the shipping department
Oversee material handlers in achieving department and site performance objectives that include safety, cost, service, quality, and efficiency
Convey relevant information to Supervisors, Manager and other employees
Assist management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping department
Create written and oral instructions that are needed in the shipping area
Ensure understanding of company KPIs and take actions to meet them
Other duties/projects as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
