About The Position

As a highly valued member of the Forney TX Team, this position is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely. This role involves providing daily/weekly balancing of skilled labor across the shipping department, overseeing material handlers in achieving department and site performance objectives (safety, cost, service, quality, and efficiency), conveying relevant information to Supervisors, Manager and other employees, assisting management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping department, and creating written and oral instructions needed in the shipping area. The Dock Lead will also ensure understanding of company KPIs and take actions to meet them, and perform other duties/projects as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor.

Requirements

Shipping background is required
Must be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of Manhattan (WMS), and knowledge should be extensive enough to train others
Good computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish

Responsibilities
