Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Seven years of shipping and/or operations experience
- Self-Motivated
- Willing to Support and Train Personnel
- Exceptional Decision-Making Ability
- Great Communication Skills
- Trouble-shooting Capabilities
- Works well in a team environment and able to make effective decisions
- Ability to Work with Other Departments in Plant (Maintenance, Traffic, Production Units, etc.)
- Knowledge of Policies and Procedures
- Computer Literate
- Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work.
- A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Westlake Chemical’s EH&S rules, policies and programs
- Review/keep electronic logbooks, understand Foxboro trends, and recognize critical loading/environmental parameters to ensure acceptable shipping performance
- Champion Plant Safety Policies and Procedures
- Strives to Keep Plant Environmentally Compliant
- Demonstrate Leadership Ability
- Ability to Support Management
- Creating MOC’s to manage changes
- Knowledgeable on DOT regulations and other regulatory compliance related to shipping material
- Work with Transportation & Logistics, Customer Service, and Product Planners to coordinate loading schedules and capabilities
- ISO Compliance
- Handling customer concerns and complaints
- Potential involvement in customer visits and assessments
- Working with OMC to organize maintenance work
