Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and seven years of shipping and/or operations experience
  • Self-Motivated
  • Willing to Support and Train Personnel
  • Exceptional Decision-Making Ability
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Trouble-shooting Capabilities
  • Works well in a team environment and able to make effective decisions
  • Ability to Work with Other Departments in Plant (Maintenance, Traffic, Production Units, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Policies and Procedures
  • Computer Literate
  • Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work
  • A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Westlake Chemical’s EH&S rules, policies and programs
  • Review/keep electronic logbooks, understand Foxboro trends, and recognize critical loading/environmental parameters to ensure acceptable shipping performance
  • Champion Plant Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Strives to Keep Plant Environmentally Compliant
  • Demonstrate Leadership Ability
  • Ability to Support Management
  • Creating MOC’s to manage changes
  • Knowledgeable on DOT regulations and other regulatory compliance related to shipping material
  • Work with Transportation & Logistics, Customer Service, and Product Planners to coordinate loading schedules and capabilities
  • ISO Compliance
  • Handling customer concerns and complaints
  • Potential involvement in customer visits and assessments
  • Working with OMC to organize maintenance work
