About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Shipping Coordinator – 1st Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Join a team where your work makes a difference every day. As a Shipping Coordinator, you'll be responsible for organizing finished goods, loading outbound shipments, and ensuring materials are where they need to be to support production. You'll work closely with manufacturing teams to meet delivery commitments, maintain efficient workflows, and help keep operations running smoothly. This role offers a blend of shipping, logistics, material handling, and production support, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and taking ownership of results. Your ability to stay organized, adapt to changing priorities, and support the broader team will be key to your success.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including excel and Teams
  • Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration in a fast-paced environment
  • Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months+ of manufacturing experience
  • 6 months+ of shipping experience
  • Microsoft office and ERP knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Organizing finished goods
  • Loading outbound shipments
  • Ensuring materials are where they need to be to support production
  • Working closely with manufacturing teams to meet delivery commitments
  • Maintaining efficient workflows
  • Supporting the broader team
  • Following all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines
  • Communicating with other Quanex locations regarding shipments, full trucks, and logistics team
  • Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completing all documentation related to the position
  • Communicating late or non-shipments to Customer Service and Sales
  • Promoting teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
