About The Position

We are looking for a Shipping Coordinator that will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy. This position will create shipping lists, logs, as well as schedule and track pickup, make sure that outgoing shipments are packed correctly to prevent damage or breakage in transit, and shipped to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months – 1 year experience with order entry, shipping, warehousing procedures, and shipping parts for aerospace, aviation, or automotive industries.
  • Forklift certificate.
  • Working knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of BOLs and shipping carriers (i.e. freight brokers, FedEx, UPS, etc.).
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet.
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Creating shipping lists and scheduling truck pickups via UPS, FedEx, and Common Carrier.
  • Completing shipping logs daily and verifying delivered items against the packing slip.
  • Receiving and confirming inbound shipments to APP, Inc.
  • Preparing documentation for international export shipments.
  • Assisting with annual vendor NAFTA solicitation process.
  • Preparing free-trade agreements for customers.
  • Performing data entry duties including order processing, generating packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Corresponding regularly by telephone and email to internal personnel, customers, and vendors.
  • Distributing receiving documents to accounting and purchasing.
  • Locating inventory items in the stockroom and delivering non-inventory items.
  • Operating a fork truck.
  • Printing pick tickets and picking inventory efficiently to maintain on-time shipments.
  • Performing cycle counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
  • Quarantining defective parts and working with Quality/Production to repair or scrap parts.
  • Maintaining customer bar coding requirements.
  • Answering customer inquiries.
