About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Shipping Coordinator – 1st Shift to join their team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. This role is responsible for organizing finished goods, loading outbound shipments, and ensuring materials are in the correct place to support production. The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with manufacturing teams to meet delivery commitments, maintain efficient workflows, and help keep operations running smoothly. This role offers a blend of shipping, logistics, material handling, and production support, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and taking ownership of results. The ability to stay organized, adapt to changing priorities, and support the broader team will be key to success.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including excel and Teams
  • Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration in a fast-paced environment
  • Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months+ of manufacturing experience
  • 6 months+ of shipping experience

Responsibilities

  • Organizing finished goods

  • Communicating with other Quanex locations regarding shipments, full trucks, and logistics team
  • Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completing all documentation related to the position
  • Communicating late or non-shipments to Customer Service and Sales
  • Promoting teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
