About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator assists the Materials Group with day-to-day shipping and receiving of materials and products, including related paperwork. The role coordinates truck traffic and related facility security, and loads or unloads trucks when needed. It also supports shipments, receipts, and material control activities while maintaining an orderly and safe shipping, receiving, and office area. This is a first-shift position. The stated hourly salary range is $19.94–$23.53; the specific offer depends on qualifications, experience, and other job-related considerations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years old to work in a manufacturing environment, per the posting's stated OSHA requirements.
Accuracy and ability to use basic computer programs.
Must be qualified to use a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
Must be able to perform the occupation's physical, mental, and visual requirements safely and efficiently and meet its quality and quantity standards.
Computer and mathematical skills will be assessed through testing, along with an interview.

Nice To Haves

Shipping experience.
Ability to navigate QAD, SAP, or another material control system.

Responsibilities

Input incoming materials into the computer system.
Perform cycle counts as required and investigate discrepancies.
Keep shipping, receiving, and office areas safe, neat, clean, and orderly.
Complete related paperwork, including bills of lading, barcode labels, miscellaneous documents, and reports.
Understand customer requirements for advanced shipping notices and related processes.
Assist with preparing shipments and receipts and with material control activities.
Coordinate truck traffic into and out of the facility and related security.
Load and unload trucks when needed.
Advise the supervisor of irregularities in day-to-day operations.
Perform other duties as required.
