About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator will assist the Logistics Manager with the daily management of the product shipment cycle, from carrier scheduling through loading and shipment. This role involves managing carrier relationships, ensuring accurate paperwork and billing, developing cost-effective shipping options, and overseeing the finished goods warehouse. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing handling damage, leading the shipping team, and ensuring an accident-free work environment. Additionally, the position involves customer interface, order entry, and assisting with various administrative tasks related to customer service and planning.

Requirements

Mastery of the basic elements of warehouse operations.
Mastery of the manufacturing execution system.
Knowledge of customers and customer requirements.
Knowledge of shipping documentation requirements and the billing process.
Experience with managing carriers.
Experience with machine scheduling and production planning.
Demonstrate teamwork skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration or related field preferred.
2 – 4 years of logistics/traffic experience preferred.
