About The Position

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing and coordinating daily route manifests, verifying receiving and shipping windows, updating the Hot Parts Board, managing dock and yard inventory, trailer movements, and trailer tracking. This role also involves maintaining accurate paperwork for trailer inventory, managing packing slips and returnable containers, tracking truckload utilization, and coordinating logistics with outside warehouses. The position requires managing incoming receipts, ensuring compliance with CTPAT and safety procedures, and maintaining BOS requirements for shipping, receiving, and transportation management. The role requires minimal supervision and an up-to-date forklift license.

  • Must have up-to-date forklift license.
  • Trainable for CTPAT requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily route manifest log.
  • Verify receiving and shipping windows are met and communicate concerns to supervisor.
  • Update Hot Parts Board when expedited parts arrive.
  • Manage dock and yard inventory and trailer movements to support production and supermarket lines of replenishment.
  • Manage Trailer Tracking Sheet.
  • Manage and maintain accurate paperwork to support part inventory of trailers in yard.
  • Maintain records of shipping system (BOS requirements).
  • Coordinate logistics to and from outside warehouses.
  • Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular timely basis.
  • Maintain records of packing slips.
  • Maintain records of returnable containers.
  • Maintain system for accurately tracking Truckload Utilization (TUMS).
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and safe working procedures in assigned production areas.
  • Maintain all BOS requirements for shipping, receiving, and transportation management.
