About The Position

Works as a member of the pharmacy team to deliver excellent customer service. As a primary point of face-to-face contact at the register, the assistant provides timely service, maintains the over-the-counter section, and supports non-clinical, non-technician pharmacy operations. The position is listed as .8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period), with an 8-hour day/evening shift and occasional weekend rotation. The role requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and DHS fingerprinting.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have education and/or experience needed to meet the required functional competencies listed in the job description.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0 to 2 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide customer service.
• Accurately accept payments, process credit card information, and make change.
• Assist customers with questions.
• Perform inventory, daily ordering, and inventory management.
• Use wholesaler return programs and reverse distribution processes.
• Maintain over-the-counter planograms.
• Support non-technician-related workflow duties.
• Perform daily cash control routines where needed.
• Keep the pharmacy environment clean, uncluttered, safe, and professional.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
