About The Position

As an Outbound Shipping Clerk, you will help verify and maintain records of outgoing shipments, supporting C&S’s mission to help feed local families and communities. The role involves preparing shipping documents, recording shipment information, and coordinating with establishment representatives to resolve shipment problems. Occasional safe lifting of cases with varying weights, shapes, and heights is required. The position is based at 3300 NW 123rd St., Miami, Florida, and is listed as 1st shift, 5 a.m. to completion. The work environment may include grocery dry goods areas with temperatures of about 50°–90°.

Requirements

• At least six months of warehouse experience.
• Strong planning and execution skills.
• Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
• Strong team orientation and collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Qualifications listed include attendance, General Equivalency Diploma—General Studies, High School Diploma—General Studies, initiative, productivity, quality, safety, and values.

Nice To Haves

• Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route products.
• Record shipping data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
• Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damage and nonconformance to specifications.
• Occasionally lift cases safely across varying weights, shapes, and height levels.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
