About The Position

The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Supply Chain and Warehouse operations at Eaton PCD El Paso, Texas Loc 9 facility. This role supports the timely, accurate, and compliant shipment of finished goods, materials, and customer orders while coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and warehouse personnel to maintain efficient material flow. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Prior forklift certification or at least 6 months' experience operating powered industrial trucks
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must reside within the immediate area of the El Paso, TX location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to work the assigned shift and overtime as required by business needs.
  • Ability to use computer systems including AS400, SAP, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and applicable shipping or carrier platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with carriers, warehouse personnel, production, customer service, planning, and supply chain teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment while maintaining safety, quality, and customer focus.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for an 8-hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work safely around forklifts, pallet jacks, dock areas, and material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant work area.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
  • Prior forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks strongly preferred.
  • Experience using AS400, SAP, ERP, shipping systems, RF scanners, carrier portals, or warehouse management tools
  • Experience preparing shipment documentation, Bills of Lading, packing lists, and labels in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate shipment and invoicing of customer orders, intercompany shipments, and internal material movements.
  • Generate Bills of Lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and other required shipping documentation for outbound shipments.
  • Monitor the outbound shipping schedule and communicate any deviations, delays, or priority changes to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Assign product to trucks or staging areas by reviewing shipping orders, inventory records, and warehouse priorities.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, labels, and documentation to support shipment accuracy and quality requirements.
  • Ensure priority orders ship as requested, including on-time shipment and proper ship-via instructions.
  • Interface with carriers, customer service, planning, production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to support shipment performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare, stage, load, and coordinate outgoing shipments as required, following all safety and material-handling requirements.
  • Prepare documentation to route materials and support domestic and international shipment requirements as applicable.
  • Print shipping labels, pack items, and process shipments using applicable systems and carrier platforms.
  • Requisition, organize, and maintain shipping supplies such as labels, packaging materials, and other items needed to perform daily duties.
  • Perform accurate system transactions and clerical duties necessary to support inventory accuracy, shipment traceability, and timely order completion.
  • Comply with all Eaton safety, quality, 5S, and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe operation around forklifts, pallet jacks, and dock areas.
  • Support warehouse activities and continuous improvement initiatives, including material flow, staging organization, and shipping area optimization.
  • Cross training and perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
