About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of receiving and performing a variety of warehouse duties by performing the following duties. This role requires accuracy in preparing customer shipments, managing freight company interactions, maintaining warehouse organization, and expediting materials. The position may involve operating a forklift and performing other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and rolling ladders.
• Clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to two years of work related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customer shipments accurately according to pick tickets by lifting, packaging, weighing and recording pertinent shipping information on pick ticket for internal use.
• Contacts freight companies for pick ups, deliveries, discrepancies and damaged shipments.
• Maintains warehouse shelves and areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Move or expedite material to proper department or place in temporary storage.
• May operate forklift in unloading of material.
• Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
