About The Position

As an Outbound Shipping Clerk, you help verify and maintain records of outgoing shipments in support of the company's work to feed local families and communities. The role involves preparing shipping and routing documents, recording shipment information, and communicating with establishment representatives to resolve shipment problems. It also includes occasional safe lifting of cases of varying weights, shapes, and heights. The work environment may include dry-goods areas around 50°–90°F, refrigerated areas around 28°–60°F, and frozen areas around -20°–0°F.

Requirements

At least six months of warehouse experience.
Strong planning and execution skills.
Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route products.
Record shipping data—including weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies—for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to resolve problems such as damage and non-conformance to specifications.
Occasionally lift cases of varying weight, shape, and height safely.
