Requirements

Knowledge of electronic equipment (scanners, electronic boards).
Knowledge of time organization and urgency.
Skilled in working in a team environment or independently.
Skilled in organization and planning.
Ability to adhere to shipping and inventory operating procedures.
Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to reach and bend.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED
2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Prepare various types of transportation billing documents.
Read shipping order to determine quantity, make determination as to type of transportation needed (UPS, FEDEX, LTL, and USPS).
Compare identifying information and counts, weights, and/or measure items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading.
Contact carriers to make arrangements and to issue instructions for loading products.
Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer specifications.
Operate forklift and pallet jacks to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to loading docks and/or trucks.
Loads product into containers and/or trucks as needed.
