About The Position

Meats by Linz is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk Supervisor to oversee daily outbound shipping operations within our USDA-inspected meat manufacturing and distribution facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring premium beef and protein products are accurately selected, staged, documented, and shipped to customers in a timely and food-safe manner. The Shipping Clerk Supervisor will lead shipping personnel, coordinate logistics, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with company standards, food safety regulations, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced cold-storage environment and demonstrates strong leadership, accountability, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
  • Basic computer skills (shipping systems, ERP, or WMS experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily shipping operations for outbound meat and protein products.
  • Lead, train, coach, and support shipping clerks and warehouse team members.
  • Ensure all customer orders are accurately picked, labeled, palletized, verified, and loaded according to specifications.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, and Transportation teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Verify shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, manifests, and temperature logs.
  • Monitor shipping schedules to ensure on-time deliveries to restaurants, distributors, retail partners, and other customers.
  • Maintain compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety standards.
  • Ensure proper product rotation and FIFO procedures are followed.
  • Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and reconciliation of shipping discrepancies.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance expectations.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance standards.
  • Support disciplinary actions, employee development, and scheduling as needed.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout shipping docks, staging areas, and refrigerated storage locations.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
