Shipping Clerk - Forklift Operator
About The Position
Peerless-AV is hiring a Shipping Clerk - Forklift Operator to pick, consolidate, and ship orders accurately and on time. The role supports shipping operations in a manufacturing warehouse and requires operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, processing parcel and truck shipments, maintaining shipping records and paperwork, and ensuring orders meet customer requirements. The position involves cross-training for other warehouse roles and performing other duties as assigned. The work environment includes non-climate-controlled and non-dust-controlled areas. The employee must wear required safety equipment and be able to perform physical tasks throughout shifts of eight or more hours. The job requires overtime, including weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certification.
- Two years of shipping experience in a manufacturing warehouse.
- Must be able to pass a forklift certification test; the test is available in English and Spanish.
- Effective written and verbal communication with personnel from all departments.
- Ability to operate a cherry picker, sit-down, and stand-up forklift.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 30 pounds without assistance; heavier items require a team lift.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and grip during shifts of eight or more hours.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled and non-dust-controlled areas.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment, including shoes, glasses, and harnesses.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Pick, consolidate, and ship orders accurately and on time.
- Process UPS and FedEx packages and truck orders.
- Use IFS to prepare delivery notes and tracking numbers.
- Create commercial invoices for UPS and FedEx shipments.
- Use RADLEY.
- Maintain accurate UPS and FedEx shipping records and handle shipping-area paperwork.
- Ensure orders requiring special labeling are shipped correctly.
- Assist in documenting procedures for the shipping area.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts and cross-train for other warehouse positions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
