About The Position

The Ideal Tridon Group is seeking a Shipping Clerk - Associate for their Garden Grove, CA Plant. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust, debris, and noise. The primary responsibilities include preparing shipments, sometimes receiving incoming goods, investigating and resolving shipping non-conformance, operating a forklift, reading and understanding written directions, and providing report data to management. Safety procedures, proper handling of parts and products, and quality checks are essential. The position may require overtime and a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with potential Saturday work from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The hourly rate is $20.50 with a $1.00 shift differential.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience in dealing with overlength freight preferred.
  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling, prepping, and staging orders to ship out using a RF scanner.
  • Packaging overlength freight via warehouse procedure and applying shipping labels/documents.
  • Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing items and keeping the warehouse organized.
  • Inspecting manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material, and correct size and specifications.
  • Moving product from production to stock and organizing product using a RF scanner.
  • Placing unused product back to stock.
  • Following standard operating procedures.
  • Keeping assigned area clean of debris/blockage daily.
  • Safely loading customers with product, double checking, and unloading customers if need be.
  • Using and understanding Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), label software, and TMS software.
