About The Position

The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping products. This role involves coordinating with various departments to meet inventory and shipping needs, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and accurately filling customer orders. The associate will also be responsible for packing and shipping items securely, building and wrapping pallets, and ensuring the organization of incoming and outgoing shipments. Experience with loading and unloading products on and off 53-foot dry vans is also a key part of this role.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience, preferably in Shipping or Receiving.
  • 2-3 years sit-down forklift experience.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory software, RF handhelds, working at heights, and stand-up forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for pickup.
  • Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Document any necessary updates to process and aid in inventory management.
  • Work in other areas as appropriate to maintain knowledge and relationships necessary for efficient and effective operation.
  • Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.
  • Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment with freight carriers.
  • Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy.
  • Ensure that incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are as secure and well-organized as possible.
  • Experience with loading and unloading products on and off a 53-foot dry vans.
