About The Position

Under general direction from the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping Associate ensures orders are processed accurately and shipped in a timely manner. The role includes preparing orders and packages, checking order contents, and processing domestic and international shipments. The associate also supports other production areas, meets daily production and quality goals, follows safety and housekeeping guidelines, and participates in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, communicate, and understand written and verbal procedures and instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including mouse use, keyboard and typing skills, basic navigation, and Internet and Windows experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous shipping experience.
• Knowledge and skill in MS Office.
• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Review daily pick tickets and distribute them to the appropriate lines.
• Make and place boxes at the end of the appropriate assembly line as needed for daily orders.
• Pick the correct accessories and decals for each order and add them to the final product before shipping.
• Check order contents against picking tickets, detect errors, and promptly report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Weigh, label, and tape boxes, then load shipments onto trailers using a hand truck or cart.
• Use downtime for cross-training and to support other production areas, including repairable returns and sorting and dismantling returned products.
• Meet daily production and quality goals and deadlines.
• Cooperate with team members to resolve daily issues.
• Follow safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities involving safety, training, efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
• Use SAP to process shipments, verify credit payments, and update inventory.
• Process domestic and international shipments using commercial delivery computer programs such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS to arrange pickup and delivery, print labels, and track shipments.
• Work overtime as necessary.
