About The Position

The Shipping Associate ensures that orders are processed accurately and shipped in a timely manner under the general direction of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. The role supports daily shipping operations, production goals, quality standards, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, communicate, and understand written and verbal procedures and instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including mouse and keyboard use, typing, basic navigation, and Internet and Windows experience.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Previous shipping experience.
• Knowledge of and skill with MS Office.
• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Review daily pick tickets and distribute them to the appropriate lines.
• Prepare and place boxes at the ends of appropriate assembly lines as needed for daily orders.
• Pick the correct accessories and decals according to order requirements and add them to finished products before shipping.
• Check order contents against picking tickets for accuracy, identify errors, and promptly notify the supervisor of discrepancies.
• Weigh, label, and tape boxes, then load shipments onto trailers using a hand truck or cart.
• Use downtime productively by cross-training and supporting other production areas, including repairable returns and sorting and dismantling returned products.
• Meet daily production and quality goals and deadlines.
• Cooperate with team members to resolve daily issues.
• Follow safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities related to safety, training, efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
• Use SAP to process shipments, verify credit payments, and update inventory.
• Process domestic and international shipments using commercial delivery computer programs such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS to arrange pickups and deliveries, print labels, and track shipments.
• Work overtime as necessary.
