About The Position

Family-owned and operated for five generations, Stauffer Glove & Safety is a leader in the distribution of safety and PPE products. The Shipping Associate will be responsible for ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and shipped to customers. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to meet shipping deadlines, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of order fulfillment and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent.
  • Have knowledge and minimum 1-year experience with shipping and receiving processes and able to provide timely and accurate shipments and receiving.
  • Experience operating forklift equipment and pallet jacks.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High sense of urgency and drives for results.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives within a prescribed time period.
  • Motivated self-started who can work independently and is proactive.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2 or more years’ experience large distribution inventory environments.
  • Knowledge or experience working with a warehouse management system.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for picking and packing all daily customer orders.
  • Processing and labeling parcel orders with appropriate documentation.
  • Consolidating, labeling and organizing LTL and Stauffer fleet orders in preparation for shipment to the customer.
  • Responsible for all unique picking including, but not limited to exception picks and value-added customer picks.
  • Responsible for processing all parcel Hazmat and International shipping. Organizing all documentation and labeling appropriate based on each carriers’ requirements.
  • This position may be assigned to specific areas of the distribution center based on the daily needs; which would include receiving, shipping, inventory management, facility maintenance, customer or inventory inquiries.
