About The Position

The Shipping Associate accurately and efficiently prepares, processes, and coordinates customer shipments to meet delivery requirements. This position inspects products for correct part numbers, components, packaging, and quality; prepares bills of lading, air freight documents, and carrier paperwork; operates shipping systems, scanners, and material-handling equipment; and schedules carrier pickups as needed. The Shipping Associate works closely with department personnel to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate logs and inventory records, and ensure all shipments are completed according to established work instructions, safety standards, and customer requirements. This position also maintains a clean and organized work area and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required
  • Experience in a manufacturing, shipping or logistics environment
  • Basics computer skills and proficiency with shipping software and MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of using scanners and label-generating software
  • Knowledge of safety and hazardous material handling
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with tact and professionalism
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts and pallet jacks) is a plus
