About The Position
This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate labeling and preparation of outgoing shipments to guarantee customers receive the correct materials. The Shipping Assistant will also aid in loading shipments, verifying that the product matches customer requirements. The position involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment, performing maintenance duties, and adhering to company safety policies. The role also includes assisting coworkers with material preparation and reporting any quality issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
- GED/High School Diploma or previous manufacturing experience
- Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training
- Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a continuous basis.
Responsibilities
- Assisting co-workers in wrapping and strapping material.
- Inspect shipment to ensure wrapped liner has no covering damage prior to shipping.
- Participate in reporting any quality problems to Supervisor immediately.
- Participate in the labeling of shipments to ensure all liners have a shipping label and appropriate quality and production stickers prior to shipping.
- Keep gas bottles in storage cage filled.
- Perform maintenance duties as needed.
- Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
- Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
- Will at times be asked to perform other duties.
