Requirements

  • Must be able to be certified to drive a forklift.
  • Must be able to read and use a tape measure using inches and yards.
  • Must be able to do basic math including the addition and subtraction of fractions and converting square feet to and from yards.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Responsible for complying with company health and safety policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of our inventories, automotive and marine including all subcomponents
  • Accurate record keeping and inventory tracking
  • Conduct 5S - Keeping warehouse looking clean and organized
  • Unload inbound freight – with assurance that all paperwork is submitted to the proper staff with lot numbers and part numbers
  • Investigate any possible damages or incorrect goods upon receipt and notify the appropriate staff immediately
  • Assure that all incoming material is labeled properly before being shelved
  • Notify Quality that we have new inbound shipment that requires first article inspection prior to storage
  • Put inventory away into predetermined locations in the racks
  • Cycle counting of inventory with accuracy being the focus
  • Load outbound freight – with assurance that freight is labeled correctly before leaving
  • Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
  • Assist cut order table when preparing orders for shipment when time permits
  • Provide as backup to cut order table due to absence
  • Other duties as assigned by Materials Manager and other Management staff
