About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate for their 81st Street facility. This role is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, receiving incoming materials, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining inventory records, and organizing the warehouse. The position operates in a fast-paced environment requiring accuracy, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, but if you don’t have it that’s okay! We will pay for you to get your GED through an accredited program!
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to safely load, unload, move, and organize materials within a warehouse environment.
• Ability to self-direct your workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer, math, reading, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, solve basic problems, and work well as part of a team.
• You work safely and must be able to meet the minimum physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience.
• Experience with barcode scanning systems.
• Experience with online freight scheduling systems.
• Experience loading trucks for shipment.
