About The Position

Magellan Aerospace, Middletown has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to perform shipping and receiving duties including processing paperwork for shipments, verifying shipping requirements, receiving material, filing paperwork and confirming shipments with customers.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in manufacturing and/or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with various departments (i.e., Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Quality, Contracts)
• Utilize ERP system shipping/receiving modules to create paperwork, process shipments and receipts and transfer stock items
• Confirms shipments and prints package labeling in customer SMS portals
• Ensures proper receiving paperwork is collected and references Magellan purchase orders for inbound material
• Coordinates shipping/receiving procedures with Manufacturing Support
• Communicates with logistics providers to ship/expedite freight and schedule pick-ups
• Maintains and archives documents used and prepared for shipping and receiving
