About The Position

The Shipping And Receiving Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the secure and safe loading and unloading of items from trucks. This role involves identifying and escalating any issues with lift trucks to prevent breakdowns, adhering to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory method, and maintaining inventory accuracy by reporting and correcting discrepancies. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining proper housekeeping and organization within the shipping and receiving area, reporting any shipping/receiving discrepancies, and performing tasks during the absence of the lead coordinator with minimal assistance.

Responsibilities

Perform documented daily lift truck inspections and report any concerns.
Ensure containers are labeled properly with correct part numbers and quantities.
Check the packing list against physically arrived items and escalate any discrepancies.
Record any damage to incoming packaging and items on the Bill of Lading, and reject if necessary.
Assist Material Handling and/or production when not performing shipping/receiving activities.
Accurately scan components/products into their physical location.
Perform truck verification to ensure the correct product is loaded onto the correct truck.
Communicate with the Sales group and/or shipping coordinator on shipping concerns.
Safely and securely load products on and off trucks.
Ensure no lift truck related accidents/incidents occur.
Ensure no tipped products occur in transit.
Achieve 100% accurate scanned items into physical locations.
Achieve 100% electronic transaction accuracy.
