About The Position
The Fremont Company is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to manage their complete warehouse operation in Fremont, Ohio. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading a high-performing team, partnering with transportation providers, and utilizing an ERP system for inventory management, shipments, and transfers. The role requires a balance of on-screen management and floor operations.
Requirements
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Demonstrated daily ERP proficiency — inventory management, BOL creation, transfer scheduling, and order tracking should be second nature
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience managing onsite and offsite warehouse operations
- Forklift certification, including the ability to train others
Responsibilities
- Lead high-volume warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping
- Work extensively in our ERP system on a daily basis, including: Managing inventory across our main facility and outside warehouse locations, Creating Bills of Lading (BOLs) for outbound shipments, Tracking inbound and outbound orders from receipt through delivery
- Partner with transportation providers to meet plant needs and customer deadlines
- Supervise a small high-performing warehouse team
- Maintain safety compliance and quality standards
