Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain & Operations, the Shipping and Receiving Material Handler is responsible for administrative and physical tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role also involves supporting cross-functional departments such as Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing, and Inventory with material tracking. Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience within the areas of material handling, shipping and receiving, distribution, and/or operations.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to perform within a changing workload and/or priorities and meet order schedules with quality results.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of an ERP/MRP environment. Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
  • Self-driven, analytical, results oriented, and motivated to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where standardization may be limited.
  • Ability to interface at all levels. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an existing U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, and disburse materials and equipment.
  • Package materials and equipment; prepare shipping documentation in accordance with requirements.
  • Coordinate shipments for commercial and DoD including all necessary documentation, schedule freight shipments with freight forwarders and carriers, verify shipments' compliance integrity.
  • Verify packing lists and record receipts into ERP system and Government Property tracking system.
  • Operate hand, and powered, material handling equipment (e.g.: hand truck, reach truck, forklift, overhead crane, etc.).
  • Identifies, tracks, and maintains all necessary materials and documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
