About The Position

Acromil, LLC in Corona, CA is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Lead to join their team. This role involves verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and managing the Shipping/Receiving department. The selected individual will work closely with the Production Control Manager to set priorities and oversee subordinate personnel. Acromil, LLC has been a primary supplier to the Commercial and Defense Aerospace Industries of complex structural components and assemblies since 1959.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as procedure manuals, purchase orders, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and retain working knowledge of procedures and company documents.
  • Proven ability to effectively motivate, mentor, and develop subordinate employees.
  • Assertive, confident, and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong follow-up skills.
  • Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR Regulations (citizen of the United States, lawful permanent resident alien, refugee, or protected political asylee/under amnesty).

Responsibilities

  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments, examining contents and comparing with records such as manifests, invoices, or purchase orders to verify accuracy, including s/n tracking as applicable.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material.
  • Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material.
  • Arrange for the transportation of products.
  • Train, mentor, develop, and oversee daily performance of subordinate personnel.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Deliver or route materials to departments using work devices such as hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins.
  • Compute amounts such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
  • Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, bar coding, and postage meters.
  • Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Determine the most suitable shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
