About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receiving raw materials, metal inserts, and packaging supplies; coordinating incoming quality inspections; maintaining accurate inventory transactions in Global Shop ERP; and preparing finished goods for shipment. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can identify and resolve discrepancies quickly while ensuring materials are available to support production and customer deliveries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems required; Global Shop ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance or appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming raw materials, metal inserts, and purchased components against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Department to ensure incoming materials requiring inspection are reviewed and approved before being received into inventory.
  • Process receiving transactions accurately in the Global Shop ERP system.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, damaged shipments, and documentation issues.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently and maintain material flow.
  • Label, identify, and properly store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Collect finished products from production areas.
  • Verify quantities, packaging requirements, and customer shipping specifications.
  • Tag, label, and stage finished products in crates, pallets, or designated shipping areas.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate carrier pickups.
  • Process shipment transactions within the Global Shop ERP system.
  • Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling and system transactions.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
