About The Position

Isolatek International is launching a new manufacturing operation focused on the production of FireSolve® fire-protective coating products. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations that support the manufacture of FireSolve® fire-protective coating products. This is a working leadership position responsible for supervising Warehouse Operators while actively participating in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator serves as the primary point of accountability for the safe, timely, and accurate movement of materials throughout the facility. This position is responsible for ensuring inbound shipments are received efficiently, inventory is accurately maintained, production materials are available when needed, and outbound shipments are loaded safely and accurately. The role also coordinates carrier activities, customer service interactions, inventory control programs, and warehouse organization initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience manufacturing warehouse experience
  • 3+ years of experience with fork lift operation (certification not required)
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three years of warehouse, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, logistics, distribution, or material handling experience.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to perform inventory investigations and variance analysis.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documentation, bills of lading, receiving documents, and inventory reports.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to obtain DOT HazMat Shipping training within six months of hire.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to accurately complete inventory transactions and warehouse documentation.
  • Ability to safely load and unload trucks.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory transactions and warehouse recordkeeping.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely around forklifts, chemicals, production equipment, and warehouse operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Oracle EBS or similar inventory management systems preferred.
  • Previous experience leading employees or coordinating warehouse operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction, leadership, and support to Warehouse Operators.
  • Assign daily work activities and warehouse priorities.
  • Monitor workload distribution and staffing requirements.
  • Train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel.
  • Support employee performance evaluations, corrective actions, and hiring activities in partnership with plant management.
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Lead by example through active participation in daily warehouse operations.
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving activities.
  • Ensure incoming shipments are unloaded safely, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Verify incoming materials for quantity, condition, documentation, and lot traceability.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments to ensure orders are loaded accurately and on schedule.
  • Review shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate receiving and shipping records.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound freight shipments.
  • Schedule and communicate with carriers, transportation providers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Manage freight documentation, shipment status updates, and delivery coordination.
  • Provide customer service support related to shipment status, delivery schedules, and material availability.
  • Coordinate LTL, parcel, and truckload shipments as required.
  • Support continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics processes.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy within Oracle EBS and supporting warehouse systems.
  • Oversee inventory transactions, warehouse transfers, receipts, and shipment transactions.
  • Lead cycle count programs and inventory control initiatives.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and inventory variances.
  • Perform inventory reconciliations and location audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support raw material replenishment planning.
  • Ensure proper material identification, labeling, and location control practices.
  • Coordinate the staging and delivery of raw materials to support manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure production personnel have materials required to meet production schedules.
  • Support movement of finished goods from production areas into warehouse storage.
  • Coordinate return of unused materials to inventory.
  • Support packaging material availability and warehouse support functions.
  • Promote safe warehouse operations and forklift compliance.
  • Conduct routine warehouse safety observations.
  • Ensure loading docks, receiving areas, aisles, storage racks, and staging areas remain safe and organized.
  • Enforce housekeeping and 5S expectations.
  • Investigate and resolve unsafe warehouse conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Spend approximately 50% of working time performing hands-on warehouse activities.
  • Load and unload trucks as necessary.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Assist warehouse personnel during periods of increased activity or employee absences.
  • Support physical inventory counts and warehouse projects.
