About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of materials, ensuring accurate inventory, and coordinating logistics for pickups and drop-offs. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in various computer applications. The clerk will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, organizing the shop and material areas, and managing associated paperwork.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of shipping/receiving experience
  • Previous forklift experience required
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Computer proficiency Ex. Word, Excel, & Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Check in material, enter system, and proper labelling on materials (ex. Customer, Job, & Location)
  • Notify of incorrect material to purchasing
  • Operate forklift, trucks, and trailers
  • Organize load outs
  • Keep all tools, gang boxes, trailers up to date with service and in working order
  • Keep shop, materials, and tool rooms organized & clean
  • Coordinate staging of project material and return of unused project material
  • Manage paperwork associated with items mentioned above
  • Coordinate with purchasing and line managers for pickups and drop offs
  • Line up shop drivers for pickups and drop offs
  • Self-sufficient, completing duties with minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills
