Through guidance provided by Laboratory Manager or Laboratory Supervisor, and in a safe, legal and ethical manner, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk ships and receives materials for the company and its clients and maintains associated records, thus supporting the goal of providing a service to our clients that is accurate, timely and cost effective.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry Level
  • Protocol, procedure and safety oriented.
  • Organized with time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, examines, and records all inbound items defined as samples according to the login process.
  • Delivers samples and associated informational / instructional paperwork to the sample staging area.
  • Prepares and packages items for shipping, arranges for the method of shipment in conformance with IATA and other company policies and procedures, and maintains associated paperwork.
  • Maintains the supplies necessary to accomplish the above responsibility.
  • Maintains assigned area, files, supplies and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with adherence to the Company’s Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Management System, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy.
