Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • 3-6 years relevant experience in shipping and receiving and packaging environment.
  • Analytical/Problem solving skills.
  • Warehouse Processes (Shipping & Receiving, Packaging, etc.).
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, MAPICS, etc.).
  • Mechanical Measurement and Instrumentation skills (Scale counting).
  • Comprehend Military Specification Marking and Packaging Instructions.
  • Oral and written Communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple programs and tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, have a positive professional demeanor.
  • Excellent time management skills, and ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work in a comprehensive team environment.
  • Ability to drive a forklift as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Checks accuracy of received materials, documents receipt and reports any discrepancies as necessary.
  • Assigns lot numbers to incoming production material.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales or other containers.
  • Maintains Shipping and Receiving material log.
  • Packages and marks materials for shipment in accordance with Military Specifications or customer specifications.
  • Prepares receiving and shipping reports.
  • Suggests improvements to distribution procedures and acts to improve timeliness or reduce costs.
  • May operate a forklift for moving or stacking materials.
  • Pulls stored materials for orders and moves to production or shipping area.
  • Completes other duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or designee.
