The Shipping Clerk facilitates and coordinates the entire shipping process, including preparing records of shipments, bills of lading and records of receipt. This role involves verifying inventory levels, preparing shipping documents, posting shipments, and closing out orders. The clerk will also notify supervisors of discrepancies, coordinate daily shipments between warehouses, process warehouse transfers, and communicate with internal departments regarding receiving items. Additionally, the position involves answering phone calls, replying to emails, checking in visitors and drivers, and ensuring drivers adhere to safety policies. The role requires adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and all corporate regulatory, food safety, and quality requirements. Other related duties may be assigned.
