About The Position

The Shipping Administrator verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment and provides administrative support. This role involves Purchase Order Management for daily and weekly incoming deliveries/outgoing shipment forecast. The administrator prepares all paperwork associated with product shipments, including printing bills of lading, pick lists and shipping records. They coordinate the method of shipment (e.g., LTL, hotshot) and onsite execution of loading. The position produces a daily shipping log for leadership meetings, performs inspections and designates hold points of truckloads for content, accuracy of order and quality compliance, and maintains shipping and other traffic-related files. Additionally, the administrator monitors and performs check-in for inbound and outbound truck activity, yard management, and materials management, including inventory checks. Processing and receiving products into software systems RF Smart and JDE is also a key responsibility. The administrator will perform other work as instructed by the department manager.

  • Knowledge of Inventory software, Manufacturing software, ERP experience is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have robust organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to effectively multitask, and balance priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have great attention to detail.
