About The Position

To ensure all customer orders are packaged, labeled, and staged for shipment accurately and safely, in accordance with documented company procedures. This role involves accurately pulling customer orders, ensuring correct parts and quantities, providing accurate weights and dimensions, correctly completing the pallet process, and reporting any nonconformances or discrepancies. The Shipper must maintain compliance with workplace safety, product handling, and shipping best practices, prepare shipments by securely packaging materials, and follow all documented procedures. Participation in internal audits and continuous improvement activities is also expected. The role has the authority to verify and reject shipments, escalate issues, sign off on outbound shipments, and initiate corrections to ERP shipping records.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations (addition/subtraction/multiply/divide).
  • Must be functionally literate in the English language.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow shipping documentation and instructions.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate vehicle license (forklift/pallet jack) as required.
  • Must be able to carry/lift to 50lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, and lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Use provided sales work to accurately pull all customer orders.
  • Ensure correct parts and quantities are pulled for each order.
  • Provide accurate weights and dimensions are recorded for all orders pulled.
  • Correctly complete the pallet process to include shrink wrap and address labels application.
  • Report any nonconformances or order discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace safety, product handling, and shipping best practices.
  • Prepare shipments by securely packaging materials in accordance with safety and quality procedures.
  • Follow all documented procedures, standard work, and visual controls to ensure consistent quality.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities as required.
  • Apply correct pallet labeling and ensure compliance with product identification and traceability requirements.
  • Perform any additional duties as defined by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Authority to verify and reject any shipment not meeting quality, quantity, or labeling requirements.
  • Authority to escalate nonconforming materials or shipping process issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Authority to sign off on outbound shipments after final inspection and confirmation against order documentation.
  • Authority to initiate corrections to ERP (D365) shipping records when errors are identified.
