About The Position

Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipper packages and prepares domestic and international regulated and non-regulated customer orders according to established procedures and applicable regulations. The role includes processing incoming coils in SAP, selecting and applying packaging according to customer specifications and regulations, preparing shipments, and loading trucks in accordance with company policy. The Shipper also follows housekeeping, safety, quality, procedural, and company policy requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to understand and follow process instructions.
• Ability to use a computer and input data accurately.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collected material corresponds with process sheet specifications.
• Process all incoming coils into the SAP system.
• Create and attach tags to incoming coils.
• Determine appropriate packaging according to customer specifications and regulations.
• Place coils in the proper packaging.
• Prepare shipments according to established process sheets.
• Close packaging according to process sheet guidelines.
• Load trucks following company policy.
• Follow all cleanup and housekeeping procedures.
• Comply with safety, quality, procedural, and company policies.
