About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver - 2nd Shift at our new facility in Youngsville, NC. The Shipper/Receiver will provide manufacturing expertise and support including but not limited to, sorting, verifying, recording, and routing incoming and outgoing shipments. In this function, you will exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed. You will operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material. Use a resource management system (SAP) to process all incoming and outgoing freight. Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights and affixing proper postage and paperwork. Interface with shipping office, customer service, drivers and carriers to ensure proper delivery. Coordinate required emergency shipments and requests during non-work hours. Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions. Drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes.
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using SAP, warehouse management system.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft applications.
