About The Position

The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for receiving all incoming products, moving them throughout the shop to different teams, and maintaining accurate stock data in our computer systems. They frequently work with different shipping partners such as FedEx, DHL, and UPS, etc. and complete inventory tasks such as cycle counting. This role is part of a unionized workforce. After completing 60 days of employment, employees will be eligible to bid on other union positions within the organization. Positions within the union are awarded based on a combination of qualifications and seniority.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving in manufacturing or a related environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming products, review shipping documentation from suppliers, and ensure PO numbers and quantities are correct.
  • Support any movement of material throughout the shop using the company van, pallet jacks, stand up lifts, and other related material handling equipment once certified.
  • Ensure accuracy of product information through reading incoming supplier documents to ensure everything is correct.
  • Verify quantities of products before placing them into the proper location and ensure accuracy in internal computer system.
  • Issue material to shop floor based on job.
  • Review pick lists to locate parts and issue to jobs throughout the facility.
  • Complete cycle counts.
  • Ensure high level of accuracy through checking inventory levels, issuing material to stock floor based on work order packets, and shipping product to customers.
