About The Position

The Shipper-Receiver assists with daily branch operations under the direction of the Branch Manager and helps ensure rental equipment is available for customer orders. The role involves shipping, receiving, and handling industrial-size welding equipment, along with general warehouse duties. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. A CDL is required for local delivery and pickup of equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift experience.
CDL license for local delivery and pickup of equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with UPS software, bills of lading, LTL carriers, and expediting shipments.
Strong computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Follow Airgas/Red-D-Arc health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Determine shipment methods, arrange shipping, and prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
Assemble containers and crates; record contents; pack goods for shipment; and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
Maintain internal manual or computerized record-keeping systems.
Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods, as needed.
Deliver and pick up equipment within the local area using a CDL.
Perform general warehouse duties, including putting up stock and pulling and packing orders.
Perform other warehouse-related duties as required.
