About The Position

JELD-WEN is hiring a Shipper & Receiver for a night shift from 3:30 PM to 2 AM. Depending on assignment, the role involves inspecting incoming loads, checking shipping documents for correct customer information, operating propane and electric forklifts, performing start-of-shift preventative maintenance inspections, loading trucks with finished products, picking products from racks, assisting with inventory cycle counts, preparing and handling materials, and staging and packaging finished products for delivery. The position also includes other general warehouse duties as needed. Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar environment is preferred but not required.

The role takes place in a safe, challenging, fast-paced environment. Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises. Physical demands may include occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving stock, materials, and unfinished or finished products in and near work areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving stock, materials, and product.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming loads.
