About The Position

The Shipper & Receiver handles incoming loads and shipping documentation, operates forklifts, and moves, stages, and packages finished product for delivery. Depending on assignment, the role also involves inspecting equipment at the start of a shift, picking products from racks, assisting with inventory cycle counts, and performing other general warehouse duties. Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred but not required.

The position works in a warehouse environment where employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises. Physical demands include occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving stock, materials, and unfinished or finished products in and near work areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform the described physical demands, including occasionally moving stock, materials, and unfinished and finished product.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming loads.
• Check shipping documents for correct customer information.
• Operate propane and electric forklift vehicles.
• Perform a preventive maintenance inspection at the start of the shift.
• Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished product.
• Pick or pull product from racks.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Prepare and handle materials.
• Stage and package finished product for delivery.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
